Men’s Fashion Blunders To Avoid

The male species is a rare one and it’s appalling sometimes to see the things we do to attract attention or just out of sheer ignorance. Fashion mistakes are bound to occur often in the male world but some mistakes are simply unforgivable. If you seek to impress or whatever your endeavor, make sure you do it right. Below I’ve compiled a list of 8 common fashion mistakes that every man ought to avoid whenever necessary.

Wearing sandals with socks

Whoever introduced this idea must be long dead! As a resident of the Northwest, the sight of the followers of this forbidden style offends my fashion sense. We all know that the weather is never constant and the outdoors can get chilly sometimes, making us long for the warmth of summer, but sincerely; wearing sandals with socks does not make things any better. If you’re dying to wear sandals, then move to warmer climate for Christ sake!

Overstated Designer Label

I should say that this is more of a personal view, I don’t intend to be a mobile ad and the same should apply to you. There’s nothing sophisticated about that. Just wearing a designer label in whatever part you choose doesn’t necessarily make you stylish. The point is keep it simple and understated.

Backpacking to the office

This is an absolute no! I work in an upscale Miami high rise, and the place is filled with professionals of all types, what I find surprising is the number of neat suited men schlepping backpacks to the office. Please leave that to mountain hikers and college students.

If you require something for ferrying your gym clothes, then get a decent gym bag, there plenty of option without shouting logos on them, for your papers, cellular or diaries, a messenger bag will suffice.

Fantastic Colors

Unless you’re in a fashion show, steer clear of unfaltering colors, what’s the point in wearing a sweater with colors that make you look ill or better a busker in a circus; unless you’re in the public entertainment industry. Always ensure that the colors you wear are in sync with your overall persona. No miss match with skin tone, eye color etcetera. This should be one of your wardrobe rules.

Loose Fitting Attires

Well, unless you’re in showbiz, sloppy attire is a fashion big no! Make it a habit to only choose clothes that properly fit you. You may start out by trying various styles and cuts available until you get one that is a perfect fit to your physique.

Glitzy Suits and shirts

This applies to the idea of appropriateness. Imagine going clubbing all decked in a shiny or glitzy three piece suit! Clubbing calls for a less formal look which means casual. Jeans & t-shirts prevail in such occasions.

Chunky footwear

If you were in the 90s nobody would raise a finger but in the 21st century hell no! Such types of shoes were long retired. Go for something classy and modern unless you wanna look like a walking museum.
